Buttons make great closures for so many garments – shirts, blouses, jackets, coats, vests, and more. And machine buttonholes are our usual go-to finish. In this class we will discuss buttonhole basics, buttonhole size and placement ,and I’ll share tips for making successful machine buttonholes. Then let’s think out of the box! Practice making several unique buttonholes – the Spanish snap buttonhole and a slot buttonhole. Next, see how to replace buttonholes altogether with a variety of loop and button closures that will get your garments noticed.
