Sew Liberated Chanterelle Pants/Friday Pattern Company Rambler Pant

This is a sewing class for a pair of elastic waist pants. Students will choose between two patterns:

  • Sew Liberated Chanterelle Pants. The Chanterelle Pants are high waisted elastic waist pants with big inset or patch pockets and wide leg or cuffed leg options. Drafted for women/curved figures.

  • Friday Pattern Company Rambler Pants. The Rambler Pants are tapered leg elastic waist pants with a build in belt! They have slanted front pockets and back and side patch pockets. Drafted for men/straight figures.

This class is suitable for confident beginner to intermediate sewists and will cover techniques including pockets and inserting elastic.

This class is suitable for Confident Beginners and above. Ages 18 and up.

Our classroom is on the second floor and is currently only accessible by stairs. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone. This class requires a minimum of 3 participants. The class may be subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not achieved.

    • 3 – 4 yards light- to medium-weight woven fabric with no stretch

    • 1 – 2 yards 2” waistband elastic

    • matching polyester thread

    • 2 ¾ – 3 ¼ yard bottom weight woven fabric, such as denim, twill, and canvas

    • 2 yards 1” wide webbing

    • 1 ¾ yards 2” wide Elastic

    • 1” Buckle
