Bitty

Bitty grew up in Los Angeles, CA. As the child of a working single parent (a dedicated young school teacher), she spent about half of her childhood in the home of her grandparents. Bitty's grandfather was a jazz musician and an engineer who retired early to help bring up Bitty and her brother. Her grandmother worked in the Hollywood costume industry throughout the middle of the 20th century and worked privately for Hollywood celebrities in the later part of the century. Bitty spent a good part of her time in her grandmother's home studio and would entertain herself by taking scraps from garments that she might see later on TV and making them into doll's clothes. She has a vivid memory of picking up a gown from the sequiner with her grandmother. Who knew sequiner was a job?!

Bitty went on to study fine art, and worked as a gardener, back-country wilderness ranger, and bookseller. She joined the Bolt team in January of 2019. Her favorite part of all of her jobs has always been sharing the inspiration and joy she finds in nature and creativity.

In December 2021, Bitty bought the shop!
