Improv Quilting: Inset Circles

  • Bolt Fabric Boutique 4928B Northeast 29th Avenue Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

$140

Learn how to sew improvised, freeform inset circles and incorporate them into your quilts!

From Robin: We will make lots and lots of inset circles with a sewing machine. We will cut freely with scissors—no templates or patterns—trying many sizes and variations. The centers can be made of solids/prints/vintage bits - maybe pieced or cut from left over orphan blocks? This is a simple process with unlimited possibilities!

Taught by Robin O’Neil.

  • how to thread and operate a sewing machine

how to sew a (mostly) straight line and maintain a ¼ inch seam allowance

  • sewing inset circles in a variety of sizes
