What if you could take the pattern of your favorite pair of pants?
What if there was an easy and straightforward process to not only take the exact pattern without taking them apart but also to make it into a block pattern that you can use to make into different styles of pants—all while learning about the basic principles of pattern making and fitting to your individual body shape?
In this course you will take the pattern of YOUR favorite pair of pants and make a muslin mock up to fine tune the fit before creating your final pattern that is an exact replica of your pants.
-
how to thread and use a sewing machine
basic sewing vocabulary
sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance
hemming
handling curves
At the end of this class, you will have a usable pants pattern, but this class does not cover assembling the pants! Therefore, we recommend that you are comfortable with the process of making pants before taking this class.
